Samuel Acebey was inspired by the spirit of resistance of Juana Azurduy to create his collection 'Juanas'. The Bolivian-born, Berlin-based designer imagined a contemporary version of the heroine's wardrobe composed of voluminous silhouettes and men's tailoring elements. The marked waist, the shape of the sleeves and the width of the skirts refer to colonial fashion. Technical materials are combined with environmental friendly elements, such as tencel and cupro. Some Pieces in Alpaca wool are woven by Bolivian women, in collaboration with the French designer Naomi Le Goff.

I capi discreti e decostruiti del brand evocano la flora e la fauna flora di quel periodo, grazie a ricami fatti a mano e costruzioni minimal e precise.
The international guest of this edition was the Bolivian-German designer Samuel Acebey who presented his collection: "As far as never before", a collection inspired by the travels and expeditions of Alexander Von Humbolt, explorer and exponent of romantic philosophy. The discreet and deconstructed garments of the brand evoke the flora and fauna of that period, thanks to handmade embroidery and minimal and precise constructions.

The Bolivian-German designer Samuel Acebey was the international guest showing at DAB. His enlightened approach on fashion is distinguished by a high level of recognition. His darker pieces are memorable and on them he uses all the resources of his sewing craft. Any of his pieces have a well deserved place on the red carpets.

The German Bolivian designer Samuel Acebey presented a collection inspired by Alexander von Humboldts journeys. It explored specifically the flora and fauna of it showing textile interferences in some of the collection pieces.
